I have been a specialist in retail executive search since 2004 and so the chances are we may have already spoken or met. My career in search started when I joined the retail division of a large international search firm and quickly found success identifying the best individuals in the market by sticking to my exacting standards. I had discovered retail and the joy of helping my clients grow and the love affair began.

I make it my business to understand the varying retail sectors and the detail within them. I see the magic in a great customer proposition whether this is with a value, volume driven business or a luxury, niche retailer and have worked with many established brands and many who were just starting to make their mark.
Together with Amanda, I created Gamble and Yeates with the ideology that we would offer retailers the very best levels of service without all the inflexibility that inhibits a lot of the larger search firms.

After completing a degree in Behavioral Science, it was no surprise that I gravitated towards a career in recruitment . Certainly in terms of human behavior, it has helped me to get a greater understanding of the motivations of the parties in the process, both client and candidate.
I started recruiting in the IT sector and developed preferred supplier relationships with several retailers including Arcadia, Dixons and Tesco before I decided that retail was much more exciting! As a result in 2004 I joined an Executive Search firm- part of a large international group- and have been a head hunter within the retail sector ever since.
Managing often challenging assignments within this sector, I look after varied clients and candidates from fashion, homeware and general merchandise, amongst others and particularly enjoy working with companies seeking specific skills to help grow their business. The flexibility of our approach at Gamble and Yeates means I can use the breadth of our network creatively.
When I started Gamble and Yeates with Emma in 2009, I saw it as an opportunity to develop a service offer which put into practice my version of the successful habits from my recruiting career.
